Mobile Emergency Treatment Solution for Radioactive Wastewater

Project Background

After the Fukushima accident, nuclear-facility safety and emergency response under accident conditions became a critical focus worldwide. One urgent question is how to collect and treat large volumes of radioactive wastewater quickly and safely at the accident site.

Emergency treatment systems must be deployable, modular and capable of supporting on-site processing under uncertain field conditions.

Solution Overview

Chengdu South Electronic Instrument’s mobile emergency treatment solution for radioactive wastewater uses a modular containerized design. Functional modules are installed in international standard containers, enabling rapid deployment during accident response or temporary treatment operations.

The system filters and concentrates radioactive wastewater, then temporarily stores the concentrated liquid waste so that emergency treatment can be carried out quickly on site.

Solution Advantages
Modular Design
Temporary storage, filtration, concentration and related process sections are modularized and connected quickly through pipelines.
Rapid Deployment
All functional modules are containerized, making the system easy to transport, relocate and deploy quickly on site.
